For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Platteview and Nebraska City have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. Platteview's pitcher stepped up to hand Nebraska City a 10-0 shutout. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Platteview got a great performance from Michael Quinn as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Quinn a new career-low in hits (zero).
