Baseball Game Preview: Harford Tech Cobras vs. Havre de Grace Warriors

For the second straight game, Harford Tech will face off against Havre de Grace. The Cobras will be playing at home against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harford Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Harford Tech will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Havre de Grace on Monday. The Cobras blew past the Warriors 10-1. Considering the Cobras have won four games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

CJ Scism was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Harford Tech is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Scism was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Aiden Sullivan and Quinton Kron did most of the damage at the plate: Sullivan went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Kron went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits Sullivan has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Lane, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Harford Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Havre de Grace is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Harford Tech, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5.
