Volleyball Game Preview: Incline Highlanders vs. Debbie Smith CTE Academy Mavericks

The Incline Highlanders will head out to face off against the Debbie Smith CTE Academy Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Incline lost 3-0 to Truckee on Wednesday. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-15.

Incline might have lost, but man, LILI MORRISON was a machine: she had 34 digs and five blocks. MORRISON is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of KAYLEE ALAMILLA TINOCO, who had 13 digs.

Meanwhile, Debbie Smith CTE Academy came up short against South Tahoe on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Debbie Smith CTE Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 25-21.

Debbie Smith CTE Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Incline, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Everything went Incline's way against Debbie Smith CTE Academy in their previous meeting back in September, as Incline made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
