Baseball Game Preview: Eagleville Eagles vs. Huntland Hornets

For the second straight game, Eagleville will face off against Huntland. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagleville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Eagleville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Huntland with a sharp 19-6 victory on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won 12 matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brody Gleason made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Brady Burns was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted over his last nine games. Another player making a difference was Maddox Bouldin, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Eagleville pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Huntland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
