Basketball Game Preview: Camden County Wildcats vs. Valdosta Wildcats

The Camden County Wildcats will challenge the Valdosta Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Camden County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.9 points per game this season.

Camden County is returning to their home court after beating Richmond Hill on theirs, despite the fact Richmond Hill has dominated at home this season. Camden County walked away with a 50-43 victory over Richmond Hill on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Camden County.

Camden County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mahliya Reeder out in front who went 8 for 18 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Reeder has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. J'Mya Albertie was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Valdosta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Lowndes and fell 69-39. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Vikings are ranked 11th).

Camden County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Valdosta, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
