Basketball Recap: Ridgeland Takes a Loss

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwest Whitfield Bruins. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since January 13, 2024.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Northwest Whitfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ridgeland Panthers duke it out with the Adairsville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeland is facing Adairsville at the right time seeing as Adairsville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Northwest Whitfield, they are taking a road trip to challenge Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
