Volleyball Recap: Niskayuna Falls to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake in First Game of Season

Niskayuna had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans by a score of 3-2. If the Silver Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Niskayuna took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-15, 22-25, 27-29, 25-17, 15-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Niskayuna is set to take on their familiar foe Columbia at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake will face off against rival Saratoga Springs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
