Basketball Preview: Mountain View Buffalos vs. Lander Valley Tigers
Mountain View is 8-2 against the Tigers since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Both teams will face off at 4:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Mountain View's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Mountain View put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They put the hurt on Hot Springs County with a sharp 47-27 victory. Given Mountain View's advantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Bobcats are ranked 42nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lander Valley beat the Bulldogs 46-33 on Saturday.
Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Lander Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Mountain View strolled past the Tigers when the teams last played on Tuesday by a score of 59-43. Will Mountain View repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
