Recap: Sunnyvale vs. Krum Bobcats
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sunnyvale had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Krum on the road to the tune of 47-7. The win was familiar territory for Sunnyvale who now have six in a row.
Sunnyvale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nelson Peterson jr, who threw for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Smith, who threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes.
When it comes to explaining why Krum lost, one person who can't be blamed is Case Pitt janopoulos. Despite the final result, he picked up 134 receiving yards and a touchdown. Pitt janopoulos' longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards.
Sunnyvale's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Krum, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Sunnyvale will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Gilmer at 7:00 p.m. on November 16th. Gilmer is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Krum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
