The Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers will head out to challenge the Port St. Lucie Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Melbourne Central Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Melbourne Central Catholic will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Rockledge, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Melbourne Central Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Rockledge on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hustlers.

Ryder Widick made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Widick was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Widick wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Gonnella, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Port St. Lucie came up short against Tradition Prep on Friday and fell 10-5.

Melbourne Central Catholic pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs over those games. As for Port St. Lucie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
