Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was the 49-48 winner over Malcolm when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Northwest Vikings fell to the Malcolm Clippers 42-38. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Malcolm to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Frank, who posted 22 points. The contest was Frank's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Preston Kucera, who had 12 points.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Malcolm, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will challenge Broken Bow at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Malcolm, they will face off against Louisville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
