Softball Recap: Somerset Tech Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dunellen, Somerset Tech was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-15 win over the J.P. Stevens Hawks. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Jaguars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The win got Somerset Tech back to even at 4-4. As for J.P. Stevens, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Somerset Tech will be playing at home against Perth Amboy Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.5 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. J.P. Stevens has already played their next matchup (against Piscataway Vo-Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
