Campo Verde is 9-0-1 against Desert Mountain since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The two teams will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. Campo Verde will be strutting in after a win while Desert Mountain will be coming in after a defeat.

Campo Verde's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Gilbert with a sharp 5-0 victory. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Tigers are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campo Verde hit Gilbert with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Katelyn Caballero (2), Mallori Butler, Addison Orr, and Kate Higginbotham.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Desert Mountain was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of Saguaro by a score of 2-1.

The win made it two in a row for Campo Verde and bumps their season record up to 8-5-1. As for Desert Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4-2.

Everything went Campo Verde's way against Desert Mountain when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Campo Verde made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campo Verde since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
