Red Bluff had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Cruz Servera did his part to make it five on Friday. Everything went the Spartans' way against the Corning Cardinals as they made off with a 21-0 victory thanks in part to Servera, who rushed for 164 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 67 yards.

Red Bluff's defense made their presence known, laying out Casey Long. three times. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Bryce Owens and Tyson Walters, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Corning's side was Jaret Bridwell, who made 16 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Red Bluff's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Corning, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Red Bluff will take on Orland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matches. As for Corning, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Foothill at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
