Flushing had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the St. Francis Gladiators by a score of 9-5.

Flushing's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Francis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-6-1 record this season.
