Volleyball Recap: Mica Mountain Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Mica Mountain had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Sabino Sabercats with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunderbolts also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mica Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than CASSIDY DICKHERBER, who had 20 assists and four aces. That's the most assists DICKHERBER has posted since back in September. MIA PARKER was another key player, getting 19 assists and four digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Mica Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in seven consecutive matches.

Mica Mountain's record is now 17-7. As for Sabino, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mica Mountain will head out to square off against Ironwood Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sabino, they will venture away from home to challenge Thatcher at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
