Volleyball Recap: Loveland Classical's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Loveland Classical unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Otis Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Loveland Classical sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-11, 24-26, 15-8.

Jersie Stohler paced Loveland Classical's offense, picking up nine kills. Stohler got some help from Keira Doan and her 11 assists. Sofia Winters controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Loveland Classical's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Otis, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Loveland Classical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Poudre Community Academy on the 29th. As for Otis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Akron on the 27th.
