Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Trinity Prep

Trinity Prep entered their tilt with Summerfield Waldorf on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 60-38 margin over the Mustangs. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Trinity Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tanner Cholmondeley, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Cholmondeley has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Heil, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.

Trinity Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Summerfield Waldorf saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Liam Gannon posted 25 points. That was a full 65.8% of the Mustangs' points, marking the eighth time in a row Gannon has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Trinity Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Summerfield Waldorf, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
