Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Bulldogs vs. Minersville Battlin' Miners
Tri-Valley was the 57-42 winner over Minersville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tri-Valley Bulldogs took a blow against the Minersville Battlin' Miners on Wednesday, falling 62-35. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Minersville was led to victory by Shazier Bethea and Bradley Kostishak. Bethea made all 11 shots he took racking up 26 points and eight boards, while Kostishak made all 8 shots he took for 16 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Kostishak also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Logan Hutsko, who posted eight points.
Tri-Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Minersville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.
Tri-Valley will venture away from home to challenge Pottsville at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pottsville has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Minersville, they will face off against Weatherly at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
