Soccer Recap: Monarch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Boyd Anderson back in December of 2024, Monarch came back down to earth. The Monarch Knights fell just short of the Western Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Dalilah Alvarado-Nater wasn't going to let Western walk away unscathed as she scored both of Monarch's goals, bringing her season total up to 12 goals.

Monarch's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Western, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Monarch has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Taravella on the 8th. As for Western, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Western duke it out with the Coral Springs Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
