Softball Recap: Starkville Comes Up Short

Starkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Tupelo Golden Wave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 two weeks ago.

Starkville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aly Foote, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Starkville's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Tupelo, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Starkville will challenge Germantown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tupelo has already played their next game (against Hamilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
