Soccer Game Preview: Memphis East vs. Raleigh-Egypt

The Memphis East Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Memphis East is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wooddale two weeks ago. Memphis East fell just short of Wooddale by a score of 2-1.

Memphis East's goal came courtesy of Randy Butler, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Raleigh-Egypt fell victim to Wooddale and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Cardinals. The Pharaohs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Raleigh-Egypt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Memphis East, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
