Foothill is 8-2 against Shasta since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m.

Foothill is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Pleasant Valley just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Shasta came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win.

Shasta's got stronger as the match went on, holding Red Bluff to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-15.

Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

Foothill couldn't quite get it done against Shasta in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
