Baseball Recap: Bryce Valley's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bryce Valley waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Wendover Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trevan Clark made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Clark was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Clay Grey was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Brigg Brinkerhoff was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Bryce Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.

Bryce Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Wendover, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Bryce Valley will square off against Tintic at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Miners have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Wendover, they will be playing at home against Altamont at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
