Solon took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Stow-Munroe Falls, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Comets never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. Give Solon's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sohan Thapa, which was the first he's scored this season.

Solon's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3-1 record.

Coming up, Solon will square off against Benedictine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Solon will be up against Benedictine's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.17 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they will head out on the road to face off against Aurora at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
