If Oneida wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they should've done a better job of containing Nolan Wood. The Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils blew past the Oneida Express 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Wood, who had 33 assists and five digs. Wood is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season.

While Vernon-Verona-Sherrill won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 27-25, 25-20.

Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Oneida, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Coming up, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill will challenge Rome Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oneida does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
