Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Free State Beats Garden City for Their Sixth Straight Win

Lawrence Free State extended their postseason success on Saturday against Garden City. They came out on top against the Buffaloes by a score of 2-0. The victory was nothing new for the Firebirds as they're now sitting on six straight.

Lawrence Free State easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16.

Anniston Clark paced Lawrence Free State's offense, picking up 14 kills. Clark got some help from Tesssa Nover-Estes and her 18 assists. Nover-Estes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Garden City lost, don't look at Kaylee McDonald. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist.

Lawrence Free State's win bumped their record up to 20-12. As for Garden City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 26-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Lawrence Free State nor Garden City have any future games scheduled.
