NSU University hadn't done well against West Boca Raton recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Sharks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bulls. The victory was nothing new for the Sharks as they're now sitting on four straight.

NSU University wouldn't go down easily and took West Boca Raton into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-12, 25-20, 18-25, 15-11.

Despite the loss, West Boca Raton still got an impressive performance from Sofia Maldonado, who had 21 assists and 11 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Khoury, who had 13 assists and eight digs.

NSU University's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for West Boca Raton, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, NSU University and Gulliver Prep will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Boca Raton, they will take on Spanish River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
