Basketball Recap: Dallas Lutheran Comes Up Short

Dallas Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Wylie Prep Academy Patriots 63-13. The Lions lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 40-14 score last time.

Emily True was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 16 rebounds for Wylie Prep Academy. That makes it three consecutive games in which True has scored at least a third of Wylie Prep Academy's points. Madeline Boyle was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 13 points in addition to eight boards and six steals.

Dallas Lutheran's record now sits at 0-3. As for Wylie Prep Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
