Basketball Recap: Somonauk/Leland Comes Up Short

Somonauk/Leland lost against Hinckley-Big Rock back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Somonauk/Leland Bobcats lost to the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals on the road by a 58-40 margin.

Somonauk/Leland's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somonauk/Leland will face off against Dakota at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, they will head out to face off against Pecatonica at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Pecatonica's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Hinckley-Big Rock's offense will have their work cut out for them.
