Football Recap: KIPP P Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, KIPP P couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 42-16 to the Wilson Prep Tigers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pride have suffered since October 11, 2024.

Travon Usher had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 203 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 27 yards and one touchdown for Wilson Prep. Usher is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 6-3 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

KIPP P's defeat dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Wilson Prep, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

KIPP P does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilson Prep, they will face off against Northside - Pinetown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten contests.
