Softball Recap: Dora Bulldogs vs. Cordova Blue Devils

Dora extended their losing streak to 11 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-18 in the process. They came up short against the Cordova Blue Devils, falling 20-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Dora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ciara Scott, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Cordova, they pushed their record up to 20-13 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

On Cordova's side, Khloe Herron made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dora will challenge Carbon Hill at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cordova, they will face off against Good Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
