Softball Recap: Dora Bulldogs vs. Cordova Blue Devils        
        
		
            Dora extended their losing streak  to 11  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-18 in the process. They came up short against  the Cordova Blue Devils, falling  20-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  15-0  last Tuesday.
 Dora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ciara Scott, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
As for Cordova, they pushed their record up to 20-13 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  on the road. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 15 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
On Cordova's side,  Khloe Herron made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. Herron was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news, Cordova got a  massive  performance out of  Mia Vance, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Vance also put up a  double, which was her first of the season.  Ella Grace Madison was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dora will challenge Carbon Hill at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cordova, they will face off against Good Hope at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
