Basketball Recap: The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Starts Season with Victory Against Antelope Valley

The Palmdale Aerospace Academy took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They snuck past the Antelope Valley Antelopes with a 58-54 win. The victory continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Antelopes: they've now won three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Palmdale Aerospace Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Sacopla, who posted 17 points. Jerrit Mattox was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

Antelope Valley is on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

The Palmdale Aerospace Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-67 win against Excelsior Charter on the 21st. As for Antelope Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-39 defeat against Paraclete on the 21st.
