Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cornerstone Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They managed a 40-34 win over the Calvary Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Cyclones: when they faced off against the Knights last Saturday, they had to take a 39-27 loss.

Kate Hancock was a one-woman wrecking crew for Cornerstone Christian as she posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Hughes, who had eight points.

Cornerstone Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Cornerstone Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ridgeview at 11:00 a.m. on December 21st. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arthur-Okaw Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
