Football Game Preview: West Plains Wolves vs. Pampa Harvesters

The West Plains Wolves will challenge the Pampa Harvesters at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in West Plains' favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

West Plains took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-10 win over Canyon. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won five games by 23 points or more so far this season.

West Plains' success was spearheaded by the efforts of SLADE RUSSELL, who gained 147 total yards and three touchdowns, and REID MACON, who threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes. The Wolves' leading receiver KANE WHITE-TINSLEY was MACON's top target yet again, picking up 145 receiving yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Pampa ended up a good deal behind Hereford on Friday and lost 31-14. The matchup marked the Harvesters' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

West Plains' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points on average over those games. As for Pampa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for West Plains against Pampa when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 45-13 victory. In that game, the Wolves amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
