Softball Recap: Ipswich Takes a Loss

Ipswich lost to Amesbury back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Redhawks by a score of 7-6.

Jocelyn Holman made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Holman, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Ipswich has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. Amesbury's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ipswich will square off against Lynnfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Amesbury, they will head out to face off against Pentucket Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
