While Stratford put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Assumption. The Tigers blew past the Royals 10-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Not much got past Christian Rehm, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Assumption off the board. Rehm also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Stratford is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
At the plate, Jack Tubbs was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Riley Spindler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Stratford's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Assumption, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Stratford will have a chance to go back-to-back against Assumption: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
