Soccer Recap: Stem Preparatory Academy Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Stem Preparatory Academy rose to the challenge on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Chargers who were credited with the victory. The Stem Preparatory Academy Chargers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Liberty Creek Wolves's one.

Diego Pita Rios was the driving force of Stem Preparatory Academy's attack as he scored both of Stem Preparatory Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to nine goals.

Stem Preparatory Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those six matchups. As for Liberty Creek, they moved to 15-5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Stem Preparatory Academy will face off against Lakeland Preparatory at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeland Preparatory will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Stem Preparatory Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Liberty Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
