Baseball Recap: Hobbs Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hobbs's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Carlsbad Cavemen on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cavemen: they've now lost eight in a row.

Hobbs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Hobbs now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Carlsbad, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Hobbs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
