Basketball Recap: Houston Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Houston can now relate to. They fell 59-47 to the New Albany Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Issac Gilbert, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 boards for New Albany. Gilbert's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Demarion Bailey, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 12 points.

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 12-20. As for New Albany, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Houston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Albany, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-68 loss against Newton County on the 15th.
