Watauga won the last time they faced West Wilkes, and Caroline Childers did her part to make sure it happened again. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Blackhawks with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Childers, who had 15 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-16.

The victory got Watauga back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watauga will face off against Hickory at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Wilkes, they will venture away from home to face off against Avery County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
