Softball Recap: La Crosse Central Takes a Loss

La Crosse Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Tomah on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Riverhawks in their meetings with the Timberwolves: they've now lost nine in a row.

Carmen Peterson spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
