Basketball Game Preview: Holy Cross Indians vs. Conner Cougars

While Conner didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Bishop Verot with a sharp 73-53 win on Thursday. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Conner is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points per game. As for Holy Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Holy Cross came out on top in a nail-biter against Conner in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, sneaking past 58-55. Will Holy Cross repeat their success, or does Conner have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
