Baseball Game Preview: Angleton Wildcats vs. Barbers Hill Eagles

For the second straight game, Angleton will face off against Barbers Hill. The Wildcats will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Angleton has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Barbers Hill will arrive with four straight wins.

Angleton heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They fell just short of Barbers Hill by a score of 4-3.

For Barbers Hill's part, Jorge Garza looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave Garza a new career-high.

At the plate, Barbers Hill's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Roque Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Angleton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15-1. As for Barbers Hill, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
