Football Recap: Athens Christian Piles Up the Points Against Heritage

Athens Christian got themselves on the board against Heritage on Friday, but Heritage never followed suit. They really took it to the Hawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 43-0 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 36-point advantage.

Athens Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 32.0 points this season. As for Heritage, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Athens Christian will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Strong Rock Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to square off against King's Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
