Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Warriors vs. Bessemer Academy Rebels
The Lee-Scott Academy Warriors extended their postseason success on Friday against the Bessemer Academy Rebels. They came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 64-57. The win was nothing new for Lee-Scott Academy as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Lee-Scott Academy found their leader in underclassman Haiden Harper, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harper has scored at least a third of Lee-Scott Academy's points. Despite the loss, Bessemer Academy still got an impressive performance from Johnathan Winston, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Winston hasn't dropped below 18 points for four straight games. JJ Jeter was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
