Volleyball Recap: San Marino Takes a Loss

San Marino suffered their biggest defeat since September 17th on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Monrovia Wildcats. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

San Marino took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 26-24.

Their offense was headlined by Sydney Park and Audrey Hoffman, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Cynthia Kackstetter and her 14 assists. Finally, Giuliana Reitzell kept San Marino's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

San Marino moved to 15-13-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Monrovia, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. San Marino will square off against rival Temple City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Monrovia is set to challenge their familiar foe Blair at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
