Basketball Game Preview: New Bern Christian Academy vs. Greenville Christian Academy Knights

Having just played yesterday, New Bern Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Greenville Christian Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

New Bern Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime game against Trinity Christian on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Tigers 56-51. New Bern Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Trinity Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Greenville Christian Academy hadn't done well against Hilltop Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Greenville Christian Academy came out on top against Hilltop Christian by a score of 41-34. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Chargers are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Bern Christian Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4. As for Greenville Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

New Bern Christian Academy barely slipped by Greenville Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 49-48. Will New Bern Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Greenville Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
