Basketball Recap: Pawhuska Triumphs

Pawhuska won the last time they faced Pawnee and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pawhuska Huskies came out on top against the Pawnee Black Bears by a score of 66-57.

Pawhuska had a senior duo take command as Canyon Hindman made all 6 shots he took from beyond the arc racking up 25 points and Lane Kyler almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Hindman also racked up two boards, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jenson Snodgrass, who posted eight points and six assists.

Pawhuska was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Pawhuska's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Pawnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pawhuska will square off against Pond Creek-Hunter at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pawnee has already played their next match (against Chandler), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
