Baseball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Columbus Catholic Sailors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Huskies have suffered since May 27, 2025.

Highland now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Columbus Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9.

Highland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-8 victory against Lisbon on the 19th. As for Columbus Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Clear Lake on the 19th.
